NEW! Expanded Station Details Information

We have created a new project to provide more information about every subway station. We are developing wiki pages for each station, which you can edit. Right now we don't have too many of these pages yet, but when we do you will be able to access them on the map from the station popup. These wiki pages can be edited by you! Many stations have special schedules, or accessability information, and many map users have expressed interest in adding additional information. We would love your help gathering and expanding station information.

We Still Need More Station Entrance Exit Information

We've added a lot of Entrance and Exit details to the map, but we still need more information to finish this project. This project asks the community to photograph the entrance exit maps at stations and email them in. We then draw those details onto the map. We've added details for all of Manhattan and The Bronx and much of Queens. But there are a number of stations in Queens we sill need info about. By clicking on Queens stops you can see which ones we still need information for.

Note: right now we DON'T need Brooklyn station entrance exit imagery. We have tons, and will be implementing it soon. If we are missing anything after that we'll let you know then.

Translators Wanted!

This website supports an infinite number of languages, and as such this subway map could be avialable in any language. All we need is help with translating it's content! The translation tools are easy and quick to use. The only catch is we want to only open language editing to trusted users, so if you are interested in helping out we need you to email us, and then we will add you to the translators group.

Examples of the Subway Map in Other Languages

Here are some examples of the subway map in other languages. The Spanish version is the closest to complete. Ohers you can see where gaps are. The language package of the site will display translations where it has information, and use English where it does not, making it very easy to see where help is needed.

Set Your Starting Location

You can tell the map where to center on when it loads. There are two options. You can tell the map to always center on the same point. Or you can tell it to always center on the last location you were looking at. To set a fixed point to center on, just move the map to the view you would like it to load on, then click the "Use Current Location" option below. Every time you load the map that is the view you will start at. Otherwise you can choose the "Use Last Location" option, to start where you last left off; The map loads on a fixed location by default.

This map is available in many different languages. All available translations are listed below. However, some translations are far more complete than others. You can help us improve our translations. Please see the CONTRIBUTE section if you would like to help.

If you are registered or have cookies enabled the map will automatically be display in the language you select every time you visit. If you are NOT registered and DO NOT have cookies enabled, you can bookmark the links below with the 'oe' language id in the url, and the map will load in that language.
